Lower Gwynedd Township, PA

In 1698 Welsh immigrants settled in this area naming it Gwynedd Township. By 1891, the township was divided into two districts (Upper and Lower Gwynedd).

Lower Gwynedd is 40 minutes NW of Philadelphia and is home to many parks, walking trails, wonderful restaurants, a top-ranked school district (Wissahickon) and is among Pennsylvania's top 20 SAFEST places to live. Quick access to regional rail, major highways and roadways and 90 minutes from NYC makes this a perfect choice for anyone looking for a suburban sanctuary with the proximity to the big cities. Nicole Miller-DeSantis has been a resident of Lower Gwynedd Township for nearly 17 years, and her mantra has always been to "love where you live."
